Find clear answers about our construction timelines, pricing, warranties, and property protection practices.
Yes, we are fully licensed in Connecticut and carry comprehensive general liability and workers compensation insurance for all our remodeling, deck construction, and exterior carpentry projects. This protects both you and your property if anything unexpected occurs during the work. We’re happy to provide proof of our credentials and insurance coverage before we start any project, giving you complete confidence in choosing us for your investment.
Most deck installations take 2 to 4 weeks from start to finish, depending on the size, design complexity, and weather conditions typical to our Connecticut service area. Interior remodeling projects like kitchen and bathroom updates usually run 3 to 6 weeks, while exterior carpentry work such as siding or porch repair typically completes in 1 to 3 weeks. We’ll provide you with a detailed timeline during your estimate so you know exactly when to expect completion and can plan accordingly around your schedule.
We provide estimates at no charge, and our pricing is completely transparent with no hidden costs or surprise fees. Everything discussed during your estimate is detailed in writing so you know exactly what materials, labor, and timeline are included in the final price. If circumstances change during the project, we’ll communicate with you first and get your approval before proceeding with any additional work.
We treat your property with the same care we’d give our own. Our crew uses protective barriers, tarps, and careful staging to shield landscaping, lawn, and nearby structures during all construction work. We remove debris daily and leave your property clean at the end of each workday, so disruption to your home life is minimal. In winter months, when many of our customers in the Ellington area need snow removal alongside project work, we coordinate carefully to avoid damaging patios, driveways, or newly installed features like composite decks.
For most deck and exterior carpentry projects, you don’t need to be home. Our team is self-sufficient and works on your outdoor spaces independently. However, for interior remodeling like kitchen or bathroom work, we may need occasional access to utilities or temporary water shutoffs, so we’ll discuss requirements with you upfront. We always respect your privacy and schedule, and we can work around your availability if certain days work better for your household.
